Travel and location:

The Summer School will take place at the Institut d'Etudes Scientifiques de Cargèse. It is located on the west cost of the beautiful Corsica island in the south of France, near by the city of Ajaccio. The place enjoins a great landscape and a direct access to the sea. The wheather is usually fantastic in June and July.

Group transportation will be organised on Monday 27 June and Friday 8 July from/to Ajaccio airport.

Registration procedure:
The registration to the Summer School is a two-step procedure:

The application process (phase 1)
The registration process (phase 2).

During the application phase, applicants are requested to fill in an application form that is submitted to the Organization Committee. Applicants will be selected upon their research interest, their academic status and, possibly, their publication list. For PhD students and Post-Docs, the name of the scientific supervisor should be provided. In the application form, only invited lecturers give an oral presentation, all other attendees are encouraged to contribute to the poster session. A limited number of contributions will be selected to give a contributed talk.

After confirmation of their selection, all applicants have to complete the registration process (phase 2). Information such as accompanying person(s), accommodation in Cargese, personal diet, travel information (from and to the Ajaccio airport) will then be registered.

Registration fees (if applicable) should be paid at the registration phase. An e-mail will be sent to the participants. Invited lecturers (pedagogical lectures and specialized talks) do not pay the registration fees.

Registration fees:
Note that registration fees are not paid until your application (phase 1) has been approved. For information, registration fees will be 800 euros. Registration fees include accommodation, on a shared room basis, in Cargese (from Monday June 27 night to Friday July 8 morning), lunches at the Institute, coffee breaks, and bus transportation from Ajaccio airport to Cargese (round-trip). The registration fees will be charged regardless of the duration of stay of the participant. Invited lecturers (pedagogical lectures and specialized talks) do not pay the registration fees. Housing, for the duration of the course only, will be arranged by the staff of the Institute following, as much as possible, your preferences. Demands for single rooms or accompanying persons can be satisfied upon prior acceptance of Organizers. Extra fare will then have to be paid on site.
